Liana Castro: Women in Trucking Association's July Member of the Month

The Women in Trucking Association named Liana Castro, LGT's first female driver trainer, its July 2023 Member of the Month. This recognition celebrates Liana's accomplishments and her dedication to empowering women in the transportation industry.

Liana's journey in the trucking industry began with a courageous step. Despite her family not approving of her career choice, Liana's adventurous spirit and love for travel pushed her to pursue her dream of becoming a truck driver.

Liana began hauling reefers, doubles, and triples before she learned there was a demand for cryo drivers. She decided to enter the cryogenic industry and never went back. Soon after, Liana joined LGT as an owner-operator, where she continued to shine. In February 2023, she received a well-deserved promotion and became LGT's fifth driver trainer.

As a driver trainer, Liana trains new hires on how to safely and properly transport cryogenic materials. She loves being a driver trainer because it allows her to meet new people and share the knowledge she has gained over her 14-year career. Liana's goal is to help drivers succeed in the cryogenic industry.

Liana's achievement as LGT's first female driver trainer is historic and inspiring. We're proud of Liana's accomplishments and honored to have her on our team. We're also grateful for her recognition from the Women in Trucking Association. Liana's story is a powerful reminder to always believe in ourselves.
