LGT has delivered Nitrogen to multiple space exploration companies helping fuel their flight testing. Nitrogen is used as a rocket propellant to pack an extra punch during launch.

Not just space, but aircraft too. Nitrogen is used in wind tunnels, heat treating furnaces and autoclaves to help create incredibly strong but lightweight materials.

The gases we transport helps manufacture high quality parts for automotive needs, from lighting and electronics to air bags and climate control. This includes Argon used for ultra high-speed bag inflation and secure welds to Nitrogen which contributes to the manufacturing process of automotive tires.

We supply projects with gases needed for heating, cutting and welding. For heating and cutting of raw building materials, we transport a range of quality gases that encompasses both oxygen and fuel gases. Welding allows for the creation of frames and core steel and aluminum structures used in bridges, office buildings, factories and much more.

In 2020 we started hauling Anhydrous Ammonia which is an efficient and widely used source of nitrogen fertilizer. Our services help boost crop yield, offer advanced protection against nitrogen loss, and power industry efforts to feed the world.

CO2, Oxygen, and Nitrogen are all used in the food and beverage industry. Carbon dioxide is a key cryogenic agent in cooling, chilling and freezing applications, protecting the taste and texture of food products by maintaining proper temperature control. Nitrogen also plays a part in cooling, chilling and food freezing.

Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and other healthcare facilities use medical gases like nitrogen to preserve vital blood and tissue, helium for MRIs, and oxygen and respiratory therapy gases to help patients breathe. We're happy and proud to say we transport such materials allowing medical institutions to better care for their patients.

LGT Transport moves gases that serve the semiconductor, flat panel display, LED and solar markets. Nitrogen is used in the production of electronics and semiconductors. Argon is used in solar and semiconductor wafer production. Hydrogen acts as a carrier gas for thin-film deposition, and as a reducing agent in furnace treatments. All bringing you the electronics used in your daily life.

Aquaculture, with its increasingly sophisticated onshore and offshore fish farming systems, is becoming widely recognized as a more sustainable option for meeting the rapidly rising global demand for seafood products. Supplementary oxygenation provides a healthier environment for growing fish. Maintaining the appropriate level of dissolved oxygen helps achieve higher stocking densities, improve feed conversion ratio, raise specific growth rate, reduce fish mortality, and create a more humane environment for aquatic livestock.

LGT brings deep chemicals market experience and the ability to draw lessons from other industries that have experienced similar levels of turbulence. Industrial gases are used to create methanol, acetic acid, isocyanates, oxo alcohols, aniline, cyclohexane and a range of non-edible oils, plastics, and insulation materials.

In Refining, Hydrogen plays an essential role in producing cleaner burning transportation fuels.

LGT transports cryogenic liquids and specialty gases to steel and non-ferrous mills nationwide that help skyscrapers soar, trains run, and ships sail. These materials are used extensively in metal production to lower cost, improve energy efficiency, deliver environmental benefits, and improve productivity.

Argon, Helium, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, and Oxygen are used in the process of making glass from improving thermal insulation in multi-pane windows to reducing the atmosphere over the tin bath for oxidation prevention to enhancing combustion in glass furnaces.
